The Genesis of Walldryx
The Walldryx project began in January 2019.
The idea was to create characters based on my main character at the time.“Walldryx” which I created in 2012. The latter changed its name to become Thomy in 2021.
However, backtrack! About 10 years ago, in 2009. There is a universe that I worked on for a long time.
It all officially began on October 5, 2009. It was my first personal universe called "The Crackers". At that time, I had a lot of difficulty drawing characters. My little sister gave me a big pencil to draw the creatures. However, I was more comfortable illustrating landscapes to represent their worlds. Landscapes without people. From the end of 2010, beginning of 2011 I gradually began to create characters myself.
It is a universe whose designs of these creatures strongly resembled Fakemon and also cartoon characters and also from the Nintendo universe.
And the environment, I was very inspired by daily life in Europe, especially France in the big urban cities.
A lot of work was lost but I managed to keep some illustrations dating from the early 2010s. Unfortunately, a large part of the illustrations are lost forever.
Here are the illustrations and works that I was able to preserve. I took over the project in 2013 and stopped it in 2014. But from 2022, it is the real renaissance of the Crackers which will merge with the world of Walldryx. And certain ideas and characters from the universe were kept with a redesign!
Furthermore, the Crackers project was a prototype version of the future Walldryx universe!

In 2012, I temporarily stopped the Crackers project to move on to another universe. I created another character that I'm going to focus on a lot until the end of the summer. And at the same time, I opened my first DeviantArt account under the nickname“SuperKong92”

I created other characters including Tyrax the Armadillo the main antagonist with an armada of armadillos.

The project with Lozère le Crocodile only lasted 4 months.
End of August 2012, Change of project, I decided to create yet another new universe. For the design of my future character, I wanted it to be more "original" than Lozère. Between August 20 and 23 after returning from vacation in Italy, I began to imagine the design of my future character. On the evening of August 23, after listening to a radio show on France Bleu that I loved listening to, it gave me the inspiration to draw again. Around 10:30 p.m., I finished making a rough draft of the character design.
That's when I changed my nickname "SuperKong92" to Walldryx45 on DeviantArt.
I created several logos between 2012 and 2018.

Until 2014, I created several illustrations with him.(see the page of Thomy)
In February 2014, I timidly resumed the Les Crackers project despite many lost works.
Between 2014 and 2018, it was a time of great uncertainty. I left Thomy aside to create other characters like Princess Turenne, Dragoules, Vahitoà, Catenary Robots, Rhayian and many others. Despite everything, I continued to draw Thomy during those years. Only Full-Body without decorations.
From January 2019, it was the start of a big upheaval. I have to draw Thomy again but, under the advice of certain people, I was advised to draw him without his clothes and on all fours. I tried to re-experiment with this idea because I already had this idea in 2013!

Then, in February 2019, I made other experimental sketches of new character designs based on Thomy's design.
And it is from March 15, 2019 that the first new Walldryx are revealed with this illustration!
The idea appealed to me and that’s how I started creating other Walldryx with very similar designs between March and October 2019. And from now on, they are called “The Walldryx Sauvages"!
In October 2019, I stopped creating Walldryx designs that were too close to Thomy my original Walldryx (Body, Colors, etc.). This is why I decided to go even further to experiment with new Walldryx designs in terms of body and colors.
It started with the Snow Walldryx who have white skin. So, the idea pushed me to create new, even more original Walldryx. On this occasion, I was able to give names to the first Walldryx that I had created in March 2019.And the family is growing, notably with the real face of Shad the Shadow Walldryx !
Ah! It was at that moment that I had the idea of giving names to various species of Walldryx.

To end with a bang and close the year 2019, I created a large illustration in the style of a greeting card with all the Walldryx Sauvages! In addition,New Walldryx are appearing such as Loryn and Romaïhou. And Génos aka “the Great Walldryx Sauvages” has a new design with his rock guitar in hand. (December 24, 2019)
The year 2020 will be a great year for Walldryx despite a very complicated period (Covid) because new Walldryx are emerging thanks to many artists that I met through conventions. And, I am starting to exhibit through conventions for the first time!

In the meantime, at the start of the 2020 school year, I started training in an artistic school in Anaten in Pyrénées to increase my skills and enrich my universe through comics, illustrations, animations, games etc. And I developed several Walldryx Sauvages logos at the time.

Since the end of 2021, change of identity "Les Walldryx Sauvages" now becomes "Les Walldryx"
Also, it's the great gradual return of old characters from the Crackers universe.
The latter received a vat of youth for their designs. Many will become Walldryx.
They are "Walldryxifer"! or “Walldryxified”.
In July 2023, the Walldryx have a whole new identity. Exit gray and replace with brown! And a brand new logo! The Walldryx Sauvages are now a small group of Walldryx!
The Walldryx continue to evolve and many projects are to come! :)
