A Dragon like no other! In fact, it is a Graoully and this species is almost impossible to find on the island of Urrakia. We wonder where it comes from. Obviously from a distant land... He would have arrived from the east of the island of Urrakia around Kastell. Presumably, the place has much more, he has permanently settled on these lands. Currently he lives with Finac in Kastell which becomes a very important partner!

Despite his age,Graouh remains a big boy at heart. He loves to stay mentally young and he has a lot of humor, often burlesque, mocking with a bit of joie de vivre. A big guy! Its character which is very similar to Shad. They are very friends and share a passion in common, Shadow theater !

 

Graouhis a very versatile character. He likes to discover and learn lots of new things. 

He has an appetite worthy of Gargantua. He eats anything and everything and he loves sandwiches, baguettes, coffee. Graouh loves it when Finac brings hot baguettes from the local bakery! He is someone who is curious and wants to learn lots of new things. For example, "golfing, swimming, singing, fighting etc.) And he has a talent for silent theatrical comedy! He is very comfortable standing on two legs but he is less comfortable walking on two legs. He has a collection of costumes (Cook, Conductor, Accountant,Baroque, Pirate etc) to show off. Despite his big wings, he can totally make them disappear by folding them!

It has a sort of arrow at the end of its tail and it is retractable. He can therefore use it as a dart.

On the other hand, he has a little difficulty speaking fluently. He expresses himself with facial expressions, onomatopoeia or better, he writes on paper to ask questions! Graouh pronounces words starting with "Gwa" Or "Gwow". These are these basic words.

He tries to learn other words like the Yodels hummed by theWalldryx Jaundragon. 

Despite this handicap, he understands perfectly what is said to him.

With Finac and Magret, there is a lot of atmosphere especially between him and Magret !

They form another duounsuspected and burlesque ! In the absence of Finac, between them, it's a game of cat and mouse like Tom and Jerry! Graouh tries to catch Magret to do something to him! Magret thinks he will eat it too raw. Chase, clash, humor, bickering, but also fun and friendly moments, they form an amazing friendship!

Graouh has more than one trick up his sleeve to surprise Magret! Notwithstanding all this childishness, they manage to respect each other!

He shows great restraint and wisdom when Finac is by his side.

Graouh has a second independent life. He goes through his own adventures far from Kastell. Indeed, he can venture anywhere. In Vidalos-Valley, he is a star among the Flying Walldryx population!

Graouh has a girlfriend, that'sKiara. A very talented Walldryx who Graouh relies on a lot.

I regularly passed through Lorraine in the city of Metz in December 2014 and December 2015 for the Saint-Nicolas celebrations and the Christmas markets. However, I had not set foot on rue Taison where Graoully is located. And I didn't know Graoully at all at that time.

​

Back in Metz in May 2017, I walked for the first time in rue Taison where I saw a Dragon suspended in the air. I took it inphoto but, I didn't have any inspiration to create a character right away.

​

The idea of a Dragon based on the GraoullyCame to me in June 2018 when I returned to Metz again and took pictures of Graoully again.

​

But previously in May 2018, during a day in Poitiers, I had another idea of a Dragon, it was the Dragon of Poitou. This inspiration came to me when I saw a restaurant with this name.

 

During my stay in London in September 2018, I researched legendary Dragon species in France. And that's when I discovered for the first time the name of the Dragon hanging in Metz, Le Graoully. As well as the Tarasque de Tarascon and the Grand'Goule. And... the one that caught my attention the most was the Big Ghoul!

Consequently, I abandoned the idea of Graoully to focus more on the Grand'Goule. 

 

6 years later in June 2023, for the Walldryx universe, the idea of a new Walldryx based on a “Dragon” came back to my mind. My first intention was to create a Dragon based on a Walldryx Spheroid but ultimately, I came back to an idea of a Dragon based on the Graoully! When choosing the colors "Sky Blue, Emerald or Dark Blue", it was the Emerald color that had the most support. 

At the level of his jaw, there is a white area. Graouh managed to remove this with a razor like trimming a beard.
